Meet the Masters Art Program
Meet the Masters is a PTA funded art education program that introduces students to master artists and their techniques. Once a quarter students attend an Art History Assembly where they learn about the lives and works of the month’s artist. In the following weeks, students participate in a class activity to create their own original artwork based on the current artist. The Meet the Masters instructor guides the students in an age appropriate project based on the technique of the master artist. Meet the Masters is a wonderful PTA sponsored program that introduces art history, fine art, builds confidence and is lots of fun!
Students are invited to participate in this National PTA arts program. This fun program encourages students to use the arts to express themselves. Students are asked to address the year’s theme through Visual Arts, Photography, Music Composition, Dance/Choreography, Literature or Film Production. Past themes have included “Believe, Dream, Inspire.” and “The World Would Be A Better Place If….” Last year’s theme was “What Is Your Story?”
Students of all grades and abilities may participate and explore the arts based on the 2017-2018 theme: “Within Reach”
Entries are due early October. Information will be sent home in your child’s Thursday folder.

Let’s celebrate art! Please bring the whole family to join us for Gallery Night, the artwork debut of all the Reflection participants. It is time to show appreciation for all the hard work our students put into their projects. In addition to the fantastic artistic display in the MPR, there will also be a number of art stations for some hands-on play.
Please be sure to join us for Gallery Night. All of the Reflections works of art will be on display for everyone to see. Plus, explore your creativity at our arts and crafts tables. It will be a fun night for you to share with your family and friends!
