We Love Our School!
We are parent/teacher organization whose mission is to bring students, families and your school together to build a better educational experience for our children. Your membership dues, donations, fundraising and volunteer efforts all contribute to bring many amazing programs and fun activities to Ladera Ranch Elementary. Thank you for being part of this important organization.
Through both a fall and spring book fair, we provide an opportunity for students to buy quality books while helping purchase new books for our classrooms. PTA also sponsors a fun Literacy Week and Read-a-Thon in the spring.
Meet the Masters is a PTA funded art education program that introduces students to master artists and their techniques. The PTA also sponsors a Reflections Contest to enrich arts curriculum and encourage student creativity in music, art, and literature.
Each child K-3 at LRES is given the opportunity to learn the basic fundamentals of music. The students learn how to read basic music, and understand rhythm and rhyme from our music teachers. Funding is solely through donations from our LRES families! Our 4th and 5th grade music program is funded through Capistrano Unified.
In 2013, PTA was able to buy a brand new computer lab for all of our students to use once a week. The PTA also funds an in-classroom Science program for all grades. Along with the annual Science Fair, PTA also sponsors many science and technology assemblies throughout the year.
Throughout the year, there are many fun opportunities to get involved with the LRES family including the Monster Mash, Donuts with Dad, Morning with Mom, Family Movie Night, and the Spring Carnival and Fair.
Hospitality / Teacher Support
Our volunteers produce a week of activities focused on celebrating and thanking our wonderful teachers. The PTA also gives teachers a stipend to buy supplies for their classrooms.
Health and Safety
Through Red Ribbon Week, the PTA coordinates a week of activities that promote healthy lifestyles and drug-free awareness. Kids for Kindness Week is to encourage kindness and new friendships.
LRES PTA partners with other organizations to plan and promote events that benefit our school and our community. A few examples are the Holiday Giving Tree, Pajama Drive, Coins for Cancer, CHOC Easter Basket Drive, and donations for Orangewood Children’s Home.
