Uzair Qureshi Memorial Scholarship Foundation

Parent Information Session: Bullying Intervention and Prevention
The Ladera Ranch school counselors will be hosting an educational opportunity for parents on Tuesday, February 13th at 8:30 a.m.! Western Youth Services is presenting on Bullying Prevention & Intervention. This presentation will cover the different types of bullying that kids go through, what role youths play in bullying, the effects and signs of bullying, and what you can do to help. This presentation will equip you and your children to stand against bullying. It will be at Ladera Ranch Elementary School in the MPR. Registration for the Early Childhood Programs: Registration for the Fee-Based preschool programs has begun. Representatives from the Early Childhood Programs department will be visiting the school sites where a preschool program is being offered. A tour of the classroom will be held from 8:30 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.; and, registration paperwork may be submitted between 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m at the school site. Upcoming sites and dates are: Tijeras Creek (1/24, MPR), Las Flores (1/25, Conference Room), Esencia (1/25 at the District Office, Room 2), Lobo (1/26, MPR), Malcom (1/29, MPR), Oak Grove (1/31, P 15), Bergeson (2/1 in P 25), Viejo (2/2 in P1), and Las Palmas (2/5 in Multipurpose Room). Registration has already taken place a Bathgate, Castille, Chaparral, and Don Juan and George White Elementary schools. Parents may enroll their child at the District Office if they have missed the registration dates for any of the preschool sites. For information, parents should call 949-234-5341.
Exciting News! Thanks to generous parent and community donations at this year’s Fun Run, a 4th and 5th grade STEAM LAB & Makerspace is coming to LRES! We are looking for creative parents that either have a STEM background or an interest in interior design to help us create the space. If you’re interested in being a part of this committee, please contact Sarah Parsons at email@example.com.
3rd Grade Chromebooks – Our final two 3rd grade chromebook carts have arrived. Now, every 3rd grader at LRES has access to their own chromebook in the classroom. All four chromebook carts for 3rd grade were purchased by PTA using donated funds from parents. Thank you!!
K-2 Chromebooks – Fun Run Dollars were also used to purchase a chromebook cart for 2nd grade and a chromebook cart to be shared by Kindergarten and 1st grade. Each cart contains 40 devices. These two carts have been ordered and will hopefully be arriving in classrooms soon!

If you submitted a registration form below is the approval process:
- By now all Registration Forms have been turned in to teachers for their Signature
- Once approved by your teacher forms are passed to Mrs. Maass and Mrs. Warhurst for review.
- Friday 2/9/18 – Thursday 2/15/18 – registration forms will be reviewed. If any revisions are necessary form will be returned to student with a date stamp. Students will have 2 days to complete any revisions and turn forms back in. All forms must be returned no later than Tuesday 2/20/18 at 2:30.
- By the end of the day, Wednesday February 21st, final participation list will be posted on the google classroom website.
*Once your experiment is approved you may not make any changes.
