Hello Lion Families:
The Staff and I would like to thank you for a terrific launch. Our team and
students are working hard, building community, and moving through our
beginning of the year assessments. Please know that we are full to capacity
in most grade levels. Our classrooms are settled, and balanced and we have
begun getting them ready for differentiated groups. We thank you for your
support and look forward to partnering with you for your child/ren’s education.
Please Save the Date for our Back to School Night. This important evening
will answer many of your questions, while connecting you to your room and
clarifying the way your classroom will be operating for the 2018-19 school year.

Grades 1 – 5: 8:00 a.m. – 12:05 p.m.
Evening Schedule: 3rd– 5th: 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
K – 2nd: 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Announcing our 2018 REFLECTIONS contest!
Is your child artistic (or just likes to enter contests?) “PTA Reflections is a
nationally acclaimed student recognition program to encourage our
children’s artistic creativity in school and at home.” Students of all grades
and abilities may participate in our program at LRES. Look for details
regarding our Reflections Art Program, but Hurry! The 2018-2019 theme
“Heroes Around Me” will spark imagination and creativity. Entries are due September
24th. We can’t wait to see what kinds of visual art, dance choreography and
stories we receive this year from our LRES Lions!

Spirit Wear Sales – First Wednesday of every month. We will be selling spirit wear before our
first PTA meeting on Wednesday, September 5th. Every Friday is spirit day at LRES!
Ladera Ranch Fun Run Sponsorship
Our Fun Run will be here soon. It will take place on Thursday, October 25th. This is our biggest fundraiser of the year! Our goal is to raise at least $70,000! How can you help?

CUSD Before & After School Experience is back!
Session 1: September 4th – November 8th
• 7-8 Week Programs
• Classes run one day a week, Monday-Thursday
• Offering art, coding, drama, chess and academic enrichment classes
• Classes taught by CUSD Teachers and professional experts
Registration for Before and After School Experience programs is NOW OPEN!
Classes for Session 1 will begin at your school September 4, 2018.
All classes are held on CUSD school sites following school dismissal time.
