Students are invited to participate in this National PTA arts program. This fun program encourages students to use the arts to express themselves. Students are asked to address the year’s theme through Visual Arts, Photography, Music Composition, Dance/Choreography, Literature or Film Production. Please note that Reflections is virtual this year! Students can still create physical works of art, but all submissions must be turned in as a video, photo, or a scanned document.
Students of all grades and abilities may participate and explore the arts based on the 2020-2021 theme: “I Matter Because”
Entries are due October 2, 2020. Additional information will be sent in LRES PTA communications.

Let’s celebrate art! Gallery Night is the artwork debut of all the Reflection participants. It is time to show appreciation for all the hard work our students put into their projects. In addition to the fantastic artistic display, there are a number of art stations for some hands-on play.
We are working on plans for a Gallery Night that may look different from years before but please keep a lookout for information in the PTA communications.
Art Masters Night
Art Masters is a PTA funded art education program that introduces students to master artists and their techniques. Six times a year students attend an Art History Assembly where they learn about the lives and works of the month’s artist. In the following weeks, students participate in a class activity to create their own original artwork based on the current artist. The Art Masters instructor guides the students in an age appropriate project based on the technique of the master artist. Art Masters is a wonderful PTA sponsored program that introduces art history, fine art, builds confidence and is lots of fun!
We are working on providing this program to LRES students this year. It will be slightly different but the goal is to provide art education and creative activities.
