Global Fair

This is our very first Global Fair and we can’t wait to bring an evening of world culture, music, food and more to our LRES families! And the best part of this event - it is FREE to all families! We are asking interested families to choose a country and set up a table of fun information so visitors can learn all about it. This could include:

  • Fun facts about the country (map, flag, population, capital city, languages spoken)

  • Famous people from that country that we might recognize

  • What people eat and drink there (BONUS: bring a sample of food or a drink for people to try!)

  • Currency to display if you have it

  • Custom dress that you could wear or display (e.g. sari, kilt, lederhosen)

  • Books about that country or books from one of their authors

  • A fun take-away for visitors, like an art art activity or craft they could do themselves or receive (e.g. their name written in Chinese, a henna tattoo, a national animal or flower to color)

NOTE: If more than one family chooses the same country, we’ll connect you in order to collaborate on the table! The great thing is that it’s less work for you :-)

All guests at our LRES Global Fair will receive a passport where they can collect stamps by visiting each country’s table. If their passport is complete before the end of the evening, they will get a fun prize! Check out our Zoom slides here for more information and example photos of what we’re looking for.
